Hello everyone! Today I finished my first Valentine's Day project. As some of you know, I really like felt so I wanted do make something cute for "Heart Day" out of it!
At the beginning I was planning to attach them on a styrofoam heart shaped but when I went to Hobby Lobby the other night they were all sold out :( so I went home and made a heart shape out of an old Christmas gift box (Got the idea from Ami over at AliLilly, she used an empty cereal box instead).
I used some Mod Podge and red tissue paper to cover the heart so you couldn't see the grey color of the cardboard at the end of the project.
To make the roses : cut out lots of circles of different sizes (I didn't use any pattern).

Then spiral cut each circle and roll it up. I used some hot glue at the end to secure the rose to not open.
Then spiral cut each circle and roll it up. I used some hot glue at the end to secure the rose to not open.
When I had all my pretty roses ready I started attaching them on the heart shaped cardboard with hot glue.
I was happy with the final result but remembered I had a few rhinestones brads leftover from a previous project and decided to add some here and there. I took out the rhinestone from the brad and hot glued it on the roses.
And here is the final result:
Hope you like it too! I have a few more Valentine's Day projects in mind and hope to make them early next week.

Can you tell me? or anyone have a guess? I need to go buy felt and don't want too little or way too much. Budget dontcha know?
@ dragongirl: thanks a bunch! You will probably need 3 sheets of felt that you can find at any craft store for $0.20 each.
