Valentine's Matchboxes

I'm preparing some Velantines for school friends. For the past few years I got for Nicole's friends at day care the kids valentine cards or the party pack of Play-Doh but this year I want do go more crafty so I opted for Valentine's Matchboxes.

They are kind of time consuming but you can really decorate them in many different ways. I had lots of red felt leftover from the Heart Felt Rosette (which, by the way, was a big success and THANK YOU everyone for the lovely comments and THANK YOU to all you ladies that are featuring it on your great blogs).

I cutted lots of small hearts in different sizes and made them also in pink and fuchsia. Then I stitched them together and in some of them added a button.

The matchboxes I found at my local grocery store cost me $0.99 for a pack of 10 and looked like this:

So I painted the box with white acrylic paint (probably it was going to be faster with spray paint but I didn't had it at home and didn't want to spend extra $ ).
Got the scrapbook paper at the dollar section at Target and used ribbons I had at home. I covered the first box using sticky tape but that process took too long so I used Mod Podge. To attach the ribbon and the felt hearts I just used hot glue .At the very end I added heart shaped mini brads. Here is what they look like:

I'm still not sure what to put inside them. But there are many choices: chocolates, stickers, tattoos, heart shaped erasers, etc...

Also we reached 100+ followers!!! YAY!!! Thank you so much for reading my blog and be sure to come back soon for my 100+ Follwers Giveaway :) Have a great week-end!
