Easy Pear Pie Recipe

The other day I made with Nicole this easy pear pie. Alan loves pear and apple pies and since we had all the ingredients on hand we went for it!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 yolks
3 1/8 cups flour
salt
4 pears (I've used Bosc)

Mix together butter, sugar, yolks, flour and a pinch of salt. Mix well all ingredients and mold into a ball.
Wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it in the fridge for 30 mins.
While waiting peel and cut the pears into cubes.
After 30 mins divide the daugh into 2 equal halves.
Start rolling the dough (I used parchment paper so it didn't stick).
Once you have shaped it to fit the inside of the pan, take a fork and poke holes in the bottom of the crust.
Add the pears.
Now roll out the remaining dough and place it on top, poke holes as well.
Bake at 360° for 30 mins!

When we had a slice of the pie it was still a little warm inside and it was really delicious! I didn't add any sugar or cinnamon to the pears because they were already sweet as is.

  1. Mmmm yummy! We always get a slew of pears in the fall from a tree in our backyard. I made a post a few years back about what we did with them http://stitchsensedesigns.blogspot.com/2009/09/pear-fection.html :-)

  3. Hello. I stopped on over after your guest post on ItAllStartedWithPaint. The laundry room looks great, but I confess it was the pear pie that had me hustle over!
